At Harris Customs Upholstery we have been re-defining the industry since 1985. We take great pride in the excellence of our craftsmanship.

At Harris Customs Inc., we believe that quality comes first. In fact, the term “cutting corners” doesn’t even exist in our vocabulary. With the owner’s background in period furniture and antique restoration, our company was founded on the belief that a piece of furniture should look just as good on the inside as it does on the outside. When working on the restoration of an antique, special attenti

on to detail is taken to ensure that all aspects of the piece are historically accurate. The piece is torn down to the frame. Every dowel is checked, every joint is inspected, every spring and piece of twine and webbing are carefully examined to make sure that the piece is structurally sound. We still use the same supplies that were used when these pieces were originally constructed. Solid wood dowels, Italian twine, jute webbing, 100% cotton batting and burlap, just to name a few. No job is too big or too small. Whether it’s a simple repair, i.e. tightening a loosened arm, replacing a broken piece, or a full scale restoration, you can be sure that your piece of furniture is in the finest hands.

We started this upholstery and drapery workroom in 1985, with hands-on experience. In both areas, creating original designs seems to come naturally. Always aware of our clients needs, we can design custom furniture, or using the clients’ own pieces, search for unique textiles, thus creating unique, yet, highly livable pieces. Working with a traditional or modern piece is no problem for us, as it is our main goal is to design a space which reflects the clients’ personality while maintaining a predetermined budget.
