Happy Thanksgiving from Sam’s Furniture. We hope that everyone has a very restful day of family, friends, football and great food (especially turkey).

We are also super thankful for our great customers. For over 30 years, Sam’s has had an annual sale for our invited customers where we give turkeys to our customers (along with great deals). Again this year, the Turkey Sale was a success. We gave away 800 turkeys and had lots of fun! We saw old friends who have had a Sam’s turkey on their Thanksgiving table for over 15 years. And, we had some new faces this year who could not believe that they could get a FREE turkey just by working with us throughout the year. On behalf of all our team, we LOVE seeing everyone and knowing that we can contribute to their Thanksgiving dinner.

The weekend is a great way that we can show our THANKS to people who have worked with us for many years and who have made Sam’s a longstanding business in the metroplex. We are super appreciative to be a part of their lives this holiday season.

Thanks again and have a great THANKSGIVING weekend!!

This week in our Fort Worth field trip, Dan and I went to Cooper's Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que at the stockyards. We sampled a little bit of everything and left there stuffed! Loved the atmosphere with the cafeteria style and friendly people. Nothing says "Fort Worth" like GREAT BBQ. Go see them for a great meal and then come see us for great deals on FURNITURE and APPLIANCES!!!!!

While exploring Fort Worth today, I went back in time by visiting the Log Cabin Village History Museum near the TCU campus. My wife, who grew up in Fort Worth, remembers going there on school field trips. I saw the Parker cabin which is the oldest structure in Tarrant County and was originally built near our store in Birdville (now Haltom City).

The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They should me the hand drills and lathes that were used to make the wood furniture, how they make candles and the machines to spin and weave fabric. Amazing what they could accomplish! Have to admit that I would still choose the furniture on our showroom!

Thanks to Carter BloodCare Donor Center on Rosedale in Fort Worth. I saw an article online that their supply was at critical levels and decided to go today at lunch. The crew there made it easy and I was in and out in 30 minutes. I am very happy to be of service to the community and look forward to seeing them again soon! Great start to the weekend!
