Now I'm on my summer vacation yeah! I'll be spending my time up at the mountain house in Blue Ridge Mountains. The only work I'll be doing will be on our house up here. Hopefully redo the walkout basement with Jeff Murphy's help when he gets up here in June. That's the plan for this year. And continue the work on our Florida home in the fall. By next spring both homes should be in great shape. Hawk's house has now been turned over to Hawk and his finish carpenter. Hopefully they'll get it done . Requires mostly just wrapping up the finish plumbing, electric, woodwork, interior painting, driveway and landscaping. Hawk has already hired the subs to complete these projects. It's been a challenge to say the least to get Hawk's house to a point where I can step back. It's been a learning experience, the kind I never want to experience again.

Doors installed throughout most of the house today. Few more to do then trim them out and install baseboards.

I would like all those who are following the progress on this home we're building for the Hauque family to please check in and comment on what they think of what's been accomplished so far. All comments will be appreciated even if some are negative. I annalise all criticism and use what I learn from them and apply that to future design projects. This is the first home of this type I've ever designed so all your thoughts will be most helpful to me in the future. Thank you if you choose to critique.

First floor tile completed, cabinets installed in both kitchens, doors , drawers
,side panels,shelves and island will be finished tomorrow, tiling done in upstairs baths and master bathroom. Hopefully next week doors , bathroom cabinets, baseboards, appliances, stairs and electrical finish will be started on. The workmanship is looking very good, slow but it's getting done right and in the end that's what counts.

Tile guys moving along. Cabinets delivered waiting on the installers to show up. Once the bathrooms and cabinets are done I'll be finished with my end of this job. The rest will be left to the electrician, plumber , finish carpenter and landscaper. That part is all on the owner.
