We started The Maintenance Company, LLC in 2014 blending our backgrounds in hospitality, farming, large scale landscaping, and woodwork with a sustainable approach as our core focus. We believe the application of toxic chemicals plus
wasteful and excessive use of resources don’t belong under standard maintenance practices which led us to learning, and investing in low impact, high quality methods of operation. It’s not always easy, and not always applicable either, yet we strive to make the most conscious forward decisions on all of our projects. A journey that’s constantly evolving. Most recently, we formulated a compost + soil solution program based off of natural farming methods. We started this endeavor years ago by collecting local organic food matter, deriving fertile soil and liquid nutrients from the processed food matter to then be reused on lawns, gardens, and houseplants, and have since expanded to incorporate location specific solutions made from native micro components. Instead of buying organic fertilizers made in a lab from foreign materials, we harvest local indigenous micro-organisms already adapted to Gunnison Valley’s specific landscape. In working in close alignment with native biology, soil is supported in optimum restoration, while methane and carbon emissions are reduced in the process. Over the last 6 years, The Maintenance Company, LLC has completed full kitchen + bath remodels, designed thriving indigenous gardens, handcrafted one of a kind wood furniture pieces, and amended plots of terribly depleted soil through the Soil Solutions Program.
