I tell clients all the time to quit waiting for their kids' permission to get rid of things that they didn't value enough to take with them. I took that advice today!

I've just cleared out a dresser, a nightstand and emptied the "office supply" wardrobe in my dining room. I hauled out four bags of trash and one box and one bag of donations -- all of it the last vestiges of my kids' things that they have left behind. Woohoo!

After lunch, I'll be re-organizing the items worth keeping and filling up those furnishings with things I actually use.

New Day Transitions would be happy to help anyone whose still harboring adult children's possessions!
