Not to mention the beautiful designs as you can see with Sunbrella Fabrics. All spaces, inside and outside should be high performance, UV protected and washable

When a roman shade is fabricated I always try to line up the vertical rings and tape with the mullions on the window, especially when the roman shade is on the front of the house. Sometimes roman shades need to be adjusted after installed so they’re nice and straight

Working with exquisite textiles is a dream for a fabricator. Constructing roman shades are one of my favorites. The detail is so important. The bonus of a roman shade is the function but it’s a beautiful treatment as well.

What an honor to work with on the Woodward house. This beautifully crafted 1931 Georgian Colonial home has symmetrical windows on the front of the house. Functional relaxed Roman Shades were selected for the 2nd floor in a beautiful neutral linen that was used for all the shades to keep the classic English style Jean does so well.

If you haven’t already fallen in love with Jean and her family watching The Established Home you will when you read her book Establishing Home. You will learn about a classy lady that just happens to be beyond talented in design, construction and restoring old beautiful homes.

My mom who is not a seamstress picked this used sewing machine and junior size scissors out for me. I have used both of these during more than half of my custom drapery, and Slipcover years in business. I don't know that she will ever understand how special her interest in my sewing at such a young age has meant to me.

When I was 10 years old, I was hired to be a mother's helper of two darling children but I was really more interested in the sewing Mrs. Jacobs was doing. So we made a deal. I played with her children and she taught me how to sew. My first project was to see gingham curtains in the kids playhouse. 49 years later I am still in love with gingham Fabric and Sewing

H**p is a favorite of mine for slipcovers, perfect cross between cotton and linen. Just the right weight to cover floral upholstered sofas and not show thru. Ties are a labor of love☺️
