The minimum charge for the initial 1.5 hours is $125, which covers the thorough assessment of your situation. After that, it's $70 per hour for further diagnosis. Additionally, we have a $40 mobile fee to cover the cost of bringing our expertise to your location.

Realizing I haven't posted in a minute. Recent "grinding noise" while driving. What you're seeing is shavings of the brake rotor welded to the caliper. My fav is the last photo where it welded to the rubber boot. Easy brake change with a new caliper.

More on the national chain brake job. The first four photos show the damage caused by Monroe removing the driver side brake drum. The next few pics will be the passenger side drum I removed, then the last photo will be the new brakes installed. All I can say is you really need to know WHO is working on your car.

A customer needed their brakes worked on faster than I could get to them. It happens and I understand. What I cannot forgive is when a "national chain" shop does this crap. Completely unacceptable. The customer told me they took it to Monroe for a diagnosis and estimate of the brakes. I don't know what was in the estimate but they did say leaking wheel cylinder and $1,400 worth of brake work. At that moment they decided I would certainly do it cheaper so they refused the repairs and sent it to me. I was able to quote the job at $900. But this damage that was done by Monroe is mind blowing.
