This project was truly so cool! I took an old desk and turned it into two nightstands, I saw this idea years ago and finally decided to try it. Probably my new favorite way to recycle a piece of furniture that didn’t serve a purpose anymore.

I love a good restoration project!
This side table started with water marks, a split in the top, and plenty of wobble from years of love and use. I stripped it down, re-stained it to match the original color, and finished it with polyurethane.
Now it looks just like it did years ago — but stronger, smoother, and ready for many more. 🤎✨

My favorite piece I’ve ever done 🖤
This is the top portion of my old china cabinet, and with the help of my husband it became its own unique piece with a new base!
It turned out so pretty, and it took me a long time to complete but it was worth it 🖤

It is an antique from the Geyler Furniture MFG. CO in Williamsburg, Ohio. The date made isn’t listed on the piece anymore, but the furniture company was active from the late 1800’s/1904 until 1933 when the building burned down. Geyler bought out his partner in 1904, so this piece could be from either 1888-1904 or 1904-1933. Either way, she has some history🤍
I tried to do the piece some justice by keeping the natural oak color, but adding in some more modern finishes with the paint and hardware.
