Finished getting some mahogany ready to start for some upcoming projects. Planed and jointed ready to roll!

Well I was just having a jolly ol time running my little lunchbox planer, cleaning up some mahogany slabs when it wasn’t planing anymore. The feed rollers stop moving the material through. This is just great news. 😒 So I’m in the middle of taking it apart like I’m some kind of certified mechanic doing an engine removal (done it once…). I get all the way inside the gear box, yup, there’s the problem… a stripped sprocket preventing it from doing its intended duties. I guess I can’t be too upset, besides replacing the blades, I haven’t had to do any kind of repair on this Ryobi planer. I’ve had it for about 8-9 years now. Time to hunt down replacement parts! Wish me luck!

Getting back into the shop this week after a week long absence. I’ve got a lot of things I want to accomplish and not a single ounce of motivation lol 😂

Shout out to Ryobi for their 18v platform. With living in FL and being close to Hurricane impact areas, these 4ah batteries come in handy with charging our portable lights and running a clip fan.

Here we go. Time to hunker down. Keep us and those in the path of this hurricane in your prayers. We’ve prepared about as best we can. 🙏🏻
