Our collecting began years ago early in our marriage when buying wood furniture that was well constructed simply was not in the budget. We discovered that used/vintage/antique wood furniture was much more affordable and we loved spending our weekends driving back country roads searching for the next junk store, flea market, yard sale or antique shop! Of course, most of these pieces showed wear but

we found that made the piece more endearing. I would often wonder about its past and was thrilled when I could buy a piece "with a story". Often, we would come across some beautiful piece that needed a little (or sometimes a lot) of work or repair. So began our collection of tools and equipment and learning how to give these wonderful old pieces of history new life or even a whole new purpose. Now we want to share some of our discoveries and creations with you! We have booths located inside The Rockfish Gap Country Store and Greenwood Antiques in Afton, Virginia.
