Why Red Land Cotton?

When the idea of opening Willowbury Lane home decor was born….I knew I wanted to find a way to carry Red Land Cotton bedding. This is of course the brand that we use in our home as well….why: because it’s worth every penny!!

If you want luxurious bedding that feels like you’re at a five-star hotel….this is the brand for you. ….but there’s more. The story behind this company is amazing. These folks from Alabama grow their own cotton and keep the production process of their products all within the United States. So you’re getting a true “made in the USA” 🇺🇸 product.

To make their bedding a true heirloom-quality product, they researched vintage sheets and copied the weave to make these thick, super-soft, luxurious feeling, percale cotton sheet sets. I can attest that their products hold up well. We wash ours weekly, and the sheets we put on our bed three years ago look the same as they did on day one. The blankets, duvet covers, towels, and quilts all hold that same standard.

Fyr Bal Festival signs!! 🔥

Ephraim’s Fyr Bal festival is right around the corner and Willowbury lane has a few of these popular signs left. We made these last year for our booth at the Fyr Bal festival and just remembered that we had a few left.

They measure 5”x7” and will stand up on their own, or have hardware on the back to hang on the wall.

A perfect festive item to help celebrate summer and this much loved festival. These just hit our shelves today, so be sure to stop in before they sell out.

Any gardeners out there? 🌱
Would love to see pictures of your garden(s)!!

Willowbury Lane recently added these amazing heirloom quality gardening tools, they are made by Barebones, premium quality, and built to last!!

A little background “about me” that prompted me to carry these at the shop:

I was raised on a 350 acre farm in central Wisconsin by my Dad and grandparents. Aside from raising cattle, pigs, and having some free-range chickens, we had very large vegetable gardens where we grew produce for the farmer’s market at the capital/square in Madison, WI.

My grandmother absolutely loved gardening, and was SO great at it. She had a large greenhouse where she grew everything from seed. When you live on a farm, when there is work to be done, it’s all hands on deck. So as a young girl I was able to learn everything my grandmother knew about growing vegetables, flowers, and along the way grew the passion I have for spending time among the plants and the earth.

Although we live in the middle of the woods here in Door County, I still found a way to have a couple garden boxes in my back yard to grow vegetables and continue to expand my flower gardens around our house.

These gorgeous tools are a staple in my garden toolbox. Not only practical and built to last, but so beautifully crafted and worth every penny.
