I have a customer who purchased a from me. When I received a 4 star review I contacted her to find out why. As a teeny, tiny seller those reviews are golden. I always want my customers to be nothing less than very happy! I aim for 5 stars. 😀 The upshot???? She wanted a tiny bag for her Dexcom 6 Continuous Glucose Meter. My typical are small...but not that small! Of course I took on the challenge to build a and fashioned both a denim and a floral bag made to spec. Her woodworking husband even sent me a perfect little wooden prototype so I could get the dimensions just right. I made another bag and posted it on 😃 It sold and is currently on its way to Amsterdam. I’m now working on a bag with a window. This is proving to be more of a technical challenge. I’m wondering...are there more people out there who would find a like this useful??? Link in bio @ Fenton, Michigan

This just became...it wasn’t, then it was. It is social-emotional and not political and is a reflection of chaotic emotions and a heavy heart. delved into the strength of using words, whether borrowed or your own in her 🔅 I did both. week 33 with and - Celebrating Words - especially words to live by. Recently I’ve been reminding myself to “attitude up.” I was reticent about the word attitude...so...why not “up” which happens to be an amazingly versatile word? I can live it up, show up, lift up, grow up, be up, stay up, brush up, shape up, giddy up 😀 There is a fudge here...the image on the right, had I followed instructions, was to be a portrait of my own. I wasn’t up for it...but thank you LLBEAN models. That sums it up!!! @ Michigan

How is it that using scraps creates more scraps? A conundrum. I have only made one trip to a re-sale shop during the pandemic and that was done under a bit of duress as I needed fabric for a custom piece of work. I miss foraging. I miss supporting the shops and individuals from whom I have made my purchases in the past. I’m still making thoughtful choices about where I go and what I do. I always choose the great outdoors and I am thankful for our lovely Michigan weather. I go with my gut feeling. I don’t think I’m over cautious but I do not want to get sick and I absolutely do not want to put others at risk. Anyway, back to scraps. I’m sure I have more now than I ever have! 😉 @ Michigan

You know that moment when you realize that a tune is just there, playing over and over again in your head? This one begged to be part of what I was doing and so it is. This with was the perfect re-entry after having to step back for a while. This was the catalyst for a good energy-fueled, experimental, emotional unleashing of creativity. The old photo-album that serves as the backdrop has been waiting to be repurposed. Now I have a place to capture the poetry...the lyrics...the words that move me. “Come on people now, smile on your brother...” The Youngblood’s 1967 @ Fenton, Michigan

I’ve been back to on the deck. I just go with the flow and throw perfection to the wind. There is no rhyme or reason, no plan. This is just for the fun of it. It is that puts my mind in a very good place. @ Michigan
