Story - Last week I got to see show in Hershey PA. My sons had gotten me tickets for Christmas. Leanne Morgan is 58, and her tour is called “Just Getting Started”. And she was spectacular! I laughed for a solid 1 1/2 hours. And I love that feeling of just getting started even though I might be a wee bit older than Leanne.

Today I’m starting a large commission piece that is well out of my comfort zone. But that’s ok! Just getting started!

💕♥️💕 Attention sports fans! Actually, attention to those of you who are loved by a sports fan - with less than a month till Valentine’s Day ♥️ advertisers will be hitting up the sports chat radio and such hard with “really great gifts” for the “fellas” to give their loves.

Please don’t be a victim of a red velour pajama situation (read Santa suit on Valentine’s Day) or a “romantic gold dipped rose”. Please no! 🌹 I’m speaking from experience here. The guys on sports chat are just trying to be helpful, but…..

Guide them. Gently guide them to finding the most unique gift imaginable. Suggesting original art here. And once hung in your home, the pride of “best gift given ever” will be his. 💕♥️

♥️💕♥️ What a night!
I’m sure most have you have hosted a big dinner for a holiday or special event. You had many recipes, created shopping lists, shopped, chopped, sautéed, and roasted. You had selected your serving pieces ahead of time. And your table! It was beautiful- flowers and candles and china and crystal. You timed everything so well. Your delighted guests arrived, were seated, and the feast began. And it was devoured it what felt like, and actually was - minutes!

So was the feeling of little cake painting launch last night. I had been working on this collection of 13 pieces (a baker’s dozen) for a little while, sharing hints of them as I went along. Carefully painting the sides of these littles and varnishing them. Signing them. Titling them. Sourcing and purchasing tiny cake boxes and shipping boxes for them. Loading them on my website. Creating emails to notify you. More “to dos” than you might think.

And the I pushed the GO button last night, and they were sold out in under 10 minutes! So grateful for your response!

One backstory- at the 11th hour I decided to test my website to make sure the paintings were going to go live correctly on my website. And they didn’t! 😱 To the rescue - my website designer who swooped in on a Sunday evening and saved my day. Thanks Jackie!

Will do more of these in the future. I know some were disappointed that they didn’t get one.

🩵🌸🩵 Fresh year. Fresh painting. Happy 1st of 2024.

So you know I have to collect the Wedgwood, so that I can paint from life. I made a whole display of many vases with cut poinsettias and vintage ornaments in a mass on my dining room table. And the look just as pretty with spring decor and summer blooms. So 1 know a wee Wedgwood still life will look great in lots of different spaces.

🤍💕🤍 WITH. 2023 and really any year is more about the “with” for me than the what.
My family, friends, pets, collectors, followers here on Instagram , and the people I choose to do business with are what boost and support my creativity.

Looks like I’m alone in this image - not so. From the fabulous behind the camera to the people I acquired frames from, to collectors new and old, to the woman I purchased the vintage blouse from (). I have relationships “with” them all.

Wishing you all the best 2024 “with” all the people who love, support, and appreciate you!

🩵🍒🩵 The first of my big cakes claimed at my “Pink Signature Collection” show in October. Purchased by a new collector in AZ that plans to use this piece as a focal reminder of how much there is to celebrate in their beautiful family.

First piece painted on an oil primed linen aluminum panel. Makes a delicious painting surface for my many layers of oil paint. Will be using more of this surface in 2024!

🌼🌷🌼 One of my personal favorite pieces I created this year.

Started with a bucket full of tulips and daffodils from a nearby flower farm, . Boy I’m doing that again- just treating myself to a whole bucket full of lush spring blooms!

Am also thrilled for a new collector up in Boston who is likely congratulating herself for quickly scooping this big 30” x 30” painting full of warmth and sunshine. If Boston’s weather is anything like ours today, we need it!

🩵🤍🩵 Could it be? Instagram says this is my most “liked” painting in 2023. And it is AVAILABLE !

If no one scoops her up, she’s going to look amazing in my recently redone guest bath with custom light blue cabinets! So feel free to capture this 24” x 24” piece from before I have my husband committed to a day of hanging and rehanging artwork and mirrors while he’s on holiday break. 😅
