A couple of items to share today. The cutting board is made of spalted hackberry, crab apple, walnut, and plum. Nice color combination. The cheese cutter is made from a piece of Red Canadian Cherry that I got last summer. Beautiful wood, and quite hard.

Made a couple of chess boards this week. The one on the left is made from Sepele and Black Limba for the spaces. The thin inlay is Padauk, and the outer border is West Indie Cedar. The one on the right, the squares are made of Sea Grape and Plum wood. The thin white inlay is birch, and the border is black walnut.

I don’t know where my followers call home, but I thought I’d reach out and let you all know that I am doing some shows outside the FM area in the coming months.
May 9th, I’ll be in Valley City for the IG3 Mothers Day Showcase.
May 30th, I’ll be in Jamestown for Kite Fest.
June 7th, I’ll be in Fargo at Brewhalla for Makers Market.
July 9th, I’ll be in Burnsville, MN for Party On the Plaza. That’s held at Nicollet Commons, and is an evening event.

A piece I just finished (with that expensive wood); an end-grain charcuterie board. I don’t make a lot of these, as they take quite awhile to complete. They sure are pretty, though.

Just finished another end-grain cutting board for some lucky buyer. This one is made of yellow canary and black walnut.
