A few years ago I thought painting children's furniture sounded like a fun way to express my love and passion for art. Now a few years later I'm finally putting that idea into action! potential. If I can see that color will make it beautiful again, I snatch it up! My stuff is all hand painted - no stencils, no vinyls, nothing but me and pencil and a paintbrush! I would love to custom paint a piece for you! One of kind children's designs can become heirlooms and are perfect for fun pieces for Grandma's house! I can either paint a piece for you from a piece of furniture that I have rescued or from something you already have. I can match room themes, colors, bedding, etc. Options are endless! I have been putting off writing this post as it is bittersweet. In October of 2019 I was offered a job that I couldn't turn down working at our veterinary clinic. As most of you know, animals are a big love of mine! I am now working full time hours which means I no longer have time to run the painting business.
I have loved every minute of the work I have done with Shopdog Furniture and I have met SO many amazing people during that time. I want to take a moment to thank everyone who encouraged me, allowed me into their homes to paint, gave me heirlooms to paint, and who helped me along the way.
I am sad to say that Shopdog Furniture will no longer be, but I am grateful for the time that I had doing it. I am not saying that I will never paint again but as for now I no longer have the time for the full time business. I will keep everyone updated if I decide to go back to it!

I delivered this updated mirror to one of my favorites families on Friday. I have painted many pieces for their beautiful home and I can honestly say that people like Chris and Laila are the reason I love my job. (And their dog Lucky!). This mirror was very silver and metallic and she wanted it updated to match their off white furniture I painted for them last year.

Hello everyone! Today I delivered a piece that I completely refinished - stripper, sanded, the works! Under all the gunk was a beautiful natural cherry table. It’s now back to its original glory! Thank you Anna for trusting me with this project!

Happy Sunday! Today I delivered a freshly painted bedroom set to Kathy Bailey! This was a nice heavy set, just dated so I updated with off white paint, distressed and painted the hardware black. Ready for its new home! Thank you Kathy!!!

I was asked to paint this hood to look like a metal/zinc/silver finish. This was the first time ever doing a hood so I was nervous but I like how it turned out! Thank you to my customers for always trusting me with their items!

Happy Tuesday! This morning I had the pleasure of transforming this outdated dark vanity into a beautiful new one! My customer saw a cabinet she liked but it was VERY pricey so I went to that store, matched the color and design and did this for her for a whole lot cheaper! Thank you Brittany for trusting me with another project in your home!

This is the first piece finished in a bedroom suite that I am painting for a friend for his new home. I painted the chest a nice gray and the hardware was repainted matte black. No more dated brassy hardware! 👏 I can’t wait to finish the rest of these pieces! Thanks Kyle for allowing me to be a part of your new place!
