Working on custom frames for my wife's floral paintings. You can can see them this month at as part of the Flower Power show. These are made of walnut and built to be a floating frame.

I developed these stands to hold the small panel paintings my wife, Jacqueline Wolven did. These are made of cherry.

Good to know

Time for some feminist history, y'all! Did you know that the circular saw was invented by a Shaker woman named Tabitha Babbitt? Upon witnessing the inefficiency of the typical two-person saw in cutting lumber, Tabitha proposed a circular blade in 1813. The innovation made cutting wood infinitely easier!

While Tabitha's invention revolutionized wood processing, she never got the fame or fortune afforded other inventors. In true Shaker tradition, she didn't patent the invention, believing instead that ideas should flow freely between community members.

Stay tuned for more feminist tool history, or read all about them in our book, Girls Garage!
