This year marks the 50th anniversary of the TCS New York City Marathon, one of the city’s largest and most celebrated sporting events. Each year, approximately 55,000 to nearly 60,000 runners take on the grueling 26.2-mile course, traveling through all five boroughs and bringing together people from diverse backgrounds and communities. Sitting at the halfway point of the five-borough race, runners cross the Pulaski Bridge, a historic New York City bridge connecting Greenpoint, Brooklyn, with Long Island City, Queens, showing a beautiful view of the city and encouraging runners to push through the remaining 13.1 miles.
