Make Something Colorful I created Make Something Colorful as a way to share my colorful creations and tips and tricks to DIYs and being a stepmom.

Rhode Island is my latest home, where I create and find colorful accessories for you and your home. I recently started a blog for stepparents and the DIYer. I lived everywhere from New Jersey to South Africa and Uruguay to Miami and Kentucky. My travels have lead me to have eclectic tastes and a love of the unique. Despite the constant moving, the one thing that was always in my life was a love fo

r art and handmade items. I began working with my hands at a young age and followed in my mother and father's footsteps. My dad was a mechanic and my mom loved to create arts and crafts as a hobby. I grew up with a father who was always fixing or building something and a mother who loved vintage and antique finds and was always painting or sewing. Their influences began to show after college when I began picking up people's discarded furniture and giving it new life.
