Mount Zion Cemetery East Los Angeles Mt. Zion Cemetery was in deplorable condition. A 1981 Road Deed shows the Jewish Federation Council of Los Angeles swearing to ownership of the property.

Mount Zion Cemetery was opened in 1916. There is no organization claiming ownership of the property however a title search places ownership with THE JEWISH FEDERATION COUNCIL OF LOS ANGELES. The cemetery has been neglected for over 50 years. It has been vandalized with over 700 stones and grave beds damaged.
