"Fablewood Mauve"
While not a color that is typical to my style, its lovely. I said it. Pink, red, purples are not me but I decided to branch out a little and challenge myself. It's just paint, I know that, but leaving your comfort zone can be a huge challenge. My mind doesn't work in girly colors, my daughter is quite the opposite. I play it safe and use colors that are soothing to my eyes and style and can be used with any color scheme.
So here is my take on "granny core" that is sweeping the trends. Thankfully I found hardware that I swear was meant to be after the twice delivered shipment of broken hardware. The floral k***s match the drawer liner (I guess I under measured despite never doing that before) perfectly. A little whimsy that is not to heavy.
This piece is solid wood but more vintage than antique. Dove tails are on the backside of the drawers. We made sure all the drawer tracks work well and attached new backing to the entire piece.
So there you have it. What do you think? Would grandma be proud? 😉 How cute would this be in a nursery, a dressing room, a glow up room, anywhere!
