What a special and unique build we just completed over at RJG Woodworking. This beautiful Cedar bench has to be one of my favorite pieces I have ever created, not just from a furniture standpoint but the story behind it is the real reason I created this business. THANK YOU Brad Wald FOR THE OPPORTUNITY!!! (See Below)

Bench was constructed out of Solid Rough Sawn Western Red Cedar from Menards, with natural oil finish. Shout-out to Festool, as my Dominoer and finish Sander were life savers countless times on this project.

Thank you to my dad, Randy Goodbred, for helping apply the finish and using his garage for storage.

Thank you to my Grandpa Paula Goodbred for helping transport the bench to and from the workshop to dropping it off.

-Bench Inspiration/Review-
When I lived in London I spent a lot of time in parks, and I just loved the big chunky English style park benches that are so beautiful, prominent, majestic and enduring! I always thought it would be wonderful to have one on my farm. In Reed Goodbred I found an amazing local artist and craftsman who took my brief and designed something so beautiful with his own twist. The result as you can see, is stunning, and I couldn’t be more pleased. And to prove out the 3 seater functionality, the last picture is three wonderful generations of Goodbreds!! ☺️. Wonderful to see you Randy and Bob! Thank you, Reed. Your work is impeccable and the entire process was such a pleasure. Now to enjoy this beautiful view in style for decades to come. My mind is spinning with what will be the next project!! 👍👍👍👏👏👏😁😁😁

A fun and challenging project to say the least! What an honor to create a sign at the entrance of such a special place to me and so many others, The Earlville Country Club . Each letters/numbers was cut out by hand with my DEWALT Scroll Saw. Menards for all the material. Titebond for Titebond III for joining the two boards together and their Poly glue for the letters. Finally but certainly not least Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane to seal everything up from the elements. Thank you to Randy Goodbred for all the help and storing the sign in his garage for the past few months. Rachael Goodbred for printing the letters/numbers stencils on her Cricut machine. My Grandpa for letting us use his shop and trailer for painting, storage and hauling the sign. All the ECC Board Members for their input during the design and installation process!
