Breaking our radio silence/sabbatical for an update!
This August marks FOUR years since we went full time in Aguilera Custom Woods! What a journey we have been on!!
We want to take a moment to to really thank everyone who has supported us along the way ❤️
Since we are finally posting for the first time in over 2 years, we thought we would share our “high and low” moments from over the past few years…
For those who have joined us recently or maybe just didn’t know- back on June 1st 2022, we got the devastating news that David’s mom died in a car wreck. This caused us to pause everything for over 2 months. Where life around continued on- we were frozen in shock and heart ache. We spent the next year and a half trying to catch up on projects and find our new normal without one of our biggest supporters/fan/pillar. We are grateful for the grace and support we received, and we are sorry for any projects that fell through the cracks/lack of communication during this season. Moving forward, we try to always honor the legacy of Dulce Chavez, knowing she would be so proud of where we have lead Aguilera Custom Woods.
Which leads us to our “high” moment and the big, exciting news that has happened this year…
This past February we moved into our own shop! As our business grew and gained momentum- the projects started invading our living space. We were able to move from our 300 square foot garage to an almost 1000 square foot warehouse! No longer do we have projects lining our hallways waiting for delivery. No longer do we have to host dinner parties with plywood stacked against the back wall as the “back drop”. Finally- we can see the top of my beautiful dining table built by Aguilera Custom Woods 😉
Through our highs and lows, we have been blessed with a beautiful support system and community ❤️ They celebrated our accomplishments and morned our losses with us. Thank you to those who were with us since before we even knew what a pocket screw was. Thank you to anyone who trusted us with a project or referred us new people. We can’t help but feel blessed!
(Here are a few pictures of the shop and us getting it set up and running 😁)
