I am thankful for Professor Dr. Andro L. Bennett's invitation to speak to the students at Shepherd University for his Sports Marketing class via the Department of Recreation & Sport and Exercise Sciences—College of Business, Recreation, and Education. This semester the students’ learning objective is to develop an understanding of Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Oral Communication, Written Communication, Collaboration/Teamwork, and Problem-Solving.

My presentation will offer the students insight from my experience on the foundations of sports marketing, help them with familiarity with consumers, markets, products, goods/services, and sponsorships, present practical ideas to synthesize a marketing plan and give real-world concepts for strategies in fundraising and marketing that sports-specific.

Throughout my 25+ years in the sports industry, I have garnered various leadership roles with optimal results that can be scaled for a variety of opportunities. In my positions from a high school teacher, college professor, and Fortune 500 Marketing executive, to being Sports Athletes’ Player Representative I am grateful for the mentors I have had along the way that have helped my journey.

Today was a good day! NIL client, Terrell "Beastmode" Jennings was elevated to the active roster today from the practice squad versus the Houston Texans (October 13, 2024). Although the outcome was unfavorable, he did an amazing job on his individual performance today to help the team. He did great on blitz pickups, had 5 rushing attempts for 13 yards, and most-MOST importantly, completed the game with no injuries. Thus he will be able to fight again another day for the next elevation from the practice squad. Glad to be working with his NFL Agent, Dr. Damon Williams on creating generational wealth opportunities for Terrell.

In the meantime between-time, Terrell is available for NIL Marketing opportunities for advertising and endorsements for products and services. Terrell, from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville Florida was a standout running back at Florida A & M University, an HBCU based in Tallahassee Florida. In 45 games, he had 381 rushing attempts for 1,754 with 24 touchdowns, finishing his college career averaging 4.6 per carry.

Congratulations to my client, Deiyantei Powell-Woods, Offensive Lineman, officially signing today with the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. Deiyantei had a good Pro Day last year with the Central Michigan Chippewas and earned several visits to NFL teams, including the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.

Deiyantei is a Two-time All-Mid-American Conference selection (Second Team in 2023 and Third Team in 2022) … over five year career, played in 51 career games and started 38 career contests on the offensive line … started 25 consecutive contests. As a senior offensive lineman, saw action in 10 of 12 games … started all 10 games and 10 consecutive games that he played in … listed on the depth chart as the starting right guard … Second Team All-MAC selection … preseason Outland Trophy Watch List member … consensus preseason All-MAC offensive lineman … preseason First Team All-MAC selection by Phil Steele Magazine and Athlon Magazine … preseason Second Team All-MAC selection by College Football Network and Lindy’s Magazine … served as a team captain in two games … part of a CMU offensive line that allowed just 26 sacks on the season.

Deiyantei will be joining another PMG client Kameren Stewart to continue the tradition of big - fast - quick - mobile offensive lineman to continue their winning streak by leading the way for the running backs and protecting the quarterback. The Arizona Rattlers finished with a 14-5 record last year on their way to winning The IFL Championship over the Massachusetts Pirates in Las Vegas shown on the CBS Network.

Today was a good day! My client Kameren Stewart, Offensive Lineman, officially signed with the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. Kameren was meticulously selected to participate in the 2024 Rookie Mini Camp for the New York GIANTS of the National Football League.

In college between Coastal Carolina and Bowling Green Football, Kameren has been the lead blocker to over 11,000 yards rushing and protecting the quarterback to throw over 14,000 passing with 125 touchdowns, all within accumulating nearly 2,000 snaps starting 64 games. BTW: only giving up 7 sacks throughout his career.

Kameren will be joining another PMG client Deiyantei Powell-Woods as the front men on a championship caliber organization with the Arizona Rattlers who went 14 - 5 last year to grind it out finishing the season with a six-game winning streak and winning The IFL Championship over the Massachusetts Pirates in Las Vegas shown on the CBS Network.

Congrats to one of my positive role models and mentor, sports agent David Mulugheta last night making history as the first agent in the league to negotiate more than $1 billion in NFL contracts this year. Officially as an NFL Agent since 2012 at only 41YO has 86 clients and $1.3 billion in contract deals under his portfolio.

Yesterday, completing the deal for Jalen Ramsey with the Miami Dolphins is valued at $72.3 million, with an average annual salary of $24.1 million. This contract extension marks the second time Ramsey has held the title of the league’s highest-paid defender. As he continues to build a solid portfolio, his success creates openings for all agents and clients.

NFL Veteran Martavis Bryant begins his Redemption Tour with the Washington Commanders

Martavis entered the NFL via 2014 NFL Draft as a 4th round selection at pick 118 overall out of Clemson University where he recorded 61 receptions for 1,354 yards and 13 touchdowns along with a 17-yard carry and 291 yards on 14 kickoff returns in 1,020 snaps over 37 games (13 starts) in his career ... finished his career ranked first in school history in yards per reception (22.2) and tied for 10th in receiving touchdowns. As a starting wide receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he began his career setting an NFL record for most touchdowns (5) in his first three games as a rookie. .
Then continued to set another NFL record scoring his sixth touchdown in his first four games. Finishing his rookie year ranked first among all NFL wide receivers with a 21.1 yards per reception. His current NFL career statistics are 145 receptions on 2,183 with 17 touchdowns in the regular seasons and 21 receptions on 322 yards with 3 touchdowns in the postseason.
