How often do you think about your shifter cables? A bad cable can really wreak some havoc on your drivetrain. Frayed or broken strands can cause unnecessary stresses on your derailleurs and shifters and are more susceptible to rust and corrosion which further complicate your shifting system. Left unchecked these problems can even cause your cables to seize in their housings and then you have no shifting!

Warning signs are frayed cable ends, increased shifting force on levers, damaged cable housings, or missing ferrules.

Cable replacements are an inexpensive preventative service for very expensive problems.
