How many times have you seen a grip rail with the return knocked loose over years of getting pulled around and banged into?

Our grip rails are fastened using dominos to create a much stronger joint, while also eliminating the need for nails destined to fail over time, and one less place to fill nail holes.

It's a beautiful Friday in Des Moines, and I am absolutely thrilled to announce that today we are officially launching our brand new website!! The website was designed by my lovely wife rad_tone and her amazing graphic designer of a sister . They did a wonderful iob adding all of the pages and making it easy and user friendly to navigate. There are many photos of previous work that I have done in the past and will be continously updated as more proiects become completed. This is something I have wanted done for a very long time so I cant express enough how excited I am about this. Please go check it out and scroll around and let me know what you think! I'm looking forward to working with you this year!

Transformation is complete! This office space needed a solid update from its existing cabinetry. So we made it a lot more user-friendly and look amazing along the way! Now this space can be used for conference calls and meetings as well. Once the TV is installed this will be ready to rock!

-White Oak cabinetry with a special finish to bring out the depth of the grain

Things are off to a fast start in 2026! We replaced the joists in a loft floor in a garage that previously used 2x4s to span 20 feet unaided! These were replaced with 2x10s and solidified with 3/4" tongue and groove subfloor to make the entire level accessible and usable for storage!

And that's a wrap for 2025! It has been an exceptional year for Kolodji Construction. I am incredibly thankful to everyone who has trusted us to make your home more functional and beautiful. It has been a pleasure serving you and we look forward to continuing to grow and work for you this year!

Finished up this deck just in time for to show it off at the Tour of Remodeled Homes this weekend! Go check out the beautiful renovation that was done to the inside of this home (which I also had a small hand in) as well as another amazing whole house remodel they did in Clive!
