Two major Danvers projects will appear before the Planning Board again on Tuesday, September 8.

🏠 156–158 Maple Street: A proposed mixed-use development featuring a mixed-use building and townhouses, with a total of 30 new residential units.

πŸš‚ 6 Hobart Street: Proposed modifications to the previously approved Freight House site plan, including the addition of accessible ramps.

DPW Alert: Friday, September 4, 2026

Danvers Electric is required by ISO New England to conduct a 5% Voltage Reduction Test twice each year. Danvers Electric will complete this test on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, between 10–11 AM.

This is a test only. Power will not be interrupted during this test, and customers should not experience any noticeable effects. The voltage reduction is brief and stays within safe limits for most appliances and equipment.

Please note that this is not an actual capacity deficiency event. This test allows New England grid operators to measure how much load reduction can be achieved if a real capacity issue arises in the future.
