My local station, WNBT in northcentral PA, started playing Casey's AT40 on April 15, 1978. April 22, 1978, 48 years ago today, I discovered the show while riding with my Dad on Saturday afternoon errands.
My parents regretted my obsession with the charts and countdowns and music, but I've been making a living from aspects of it now for 40 years, in DJing and radio and internet broadcasting, and audio contracting, so there's that. ✌😎
