A New Coat Taking a piece of furniture I already own and making it new again thrills me. Renewing furniture has become my passion. I can do the same for you.

A New Coat came to me quite unexpectedly yet very naturally. For many years I have refinished my own furniture giving new life to old and outdated pieces. As friends saw the transformation take place in my home, they sought my help to renew their own tables, chairs, bureaus and more. This is my passion. I got this chest of drawers a few weeks ago and had so much fun redoing it! I sanded the top and used MMS H**p Oil on it. I gave it two coats of APC Top Coat to protect it. I painted the chest in a mix of ASCP French Linen and Old White. The k***s were sprayed Oil-Rubbed Bronze. This piece was originally used for a young man when he went off to college. Now it is updated and ready to be a great piece of storage for practically any room in the house! It is at The Blue Hearth waiting on someone to give it a good home!

I picked up this old dental cabinet a few weeks ago at a flea market. It was quite a mess, but it was begging to come home with me. :) I decided to use MMS Apron Strings on it. I don't get to use this color very often. I love how it turned out. The top is APC Gunpowder with ASCP Dark Wax. I'm keeping this beauty.

Making these candle holders kept me from going stir crazy in the house today! I used maps from a 1933 atlas that I had. I'm a little giddy over how cute they turned out. :) They are for sale and will be at The Blue Hearth tomorrow.
