{ saying hello to the N E W year🔅 } It’s been a whirlwind (maybe a tornado) the past year or so, with happy + incredible highs, but also quite a few painful lows. It’s hard to believe that in 2022 we plan to celebrate what will be nearly a decade in the custom handmade and antique furniture industry in a community of the best talent in so many areas (makers, designers, vendors, etc.) that our industry has to offer. For us, the year 2021 (which felt like 4) had many humbling, breakdown-inducing turned teachable moments with tireless testing of our flexibility, dedication, values, persistence, and patience. 2021 brought huge sacrifices from our team, even larger ones from our personal family, and countless all-nighter work habits(not unlike our first years).
2021 had many successes for which we truly treasured in a hard time, beautiful pieces in even more lovely homes, and even a few unexpected achievements that we never dreamed possible. We endured and overcame relentless obstacles from every direction (both personally and professionally). However, we are navigating the “new normal” as best we can, adapting to changes as fast as possible, and are confident that with the support of our loyal clients, prayer ☺️, hopefully less sanity and bloodshed that 2022 will be better than all the ones before. We are always unspeakably grateful for your patience and want nothing more than to surpass all expectations you’ve come to know us for at the CEH. Thank you for letting us be a part of your homes for almost a decade and counting! We love the appreciation our clients have for the highest quality of handcrafted furniture bench made, each piece different than all others before it. Rest assured that our team has been and continues working harder than ever before to continue to deliver the CEH quality and standards we expect from ourselves, and from which we are known for- our service and the rare craftsmanship and talent of our team. While the conditions have changed largely - we are fully committed to making 2022 our best year yet, building beautiful pieces for your homes and projects for many years to come. { thankful } wishing everyone a happy thanksgiving tonight. I am beyond inspired everyday (and more grateful than I can recall) for these loving and “ready for anything” three young ladies, my tirelessly hardworking husband (and business partner) Justin (who is still gone (post May) tackling the open roads from Dallas to Maine (or wherever the furniture leads him🚚💨shipping almost all CEH items to get them safely in place 95% of each month), and our unwaveringly dedicated + talented CEH team who have also endured a wild ride in the ever-unpredictable-year-2021 (and are still smiling and creating the very best pieces despite the challenges ☺️🙏🏻).

{ road w a r r i o r } Hard to believe Justin has been gone half a year now! The seasons have changed three times since he began and we look forward to normalcy in the shipping world again soon. As many of you know, Justin has been doing ALL of the deliveries outside of Texas since May (from CA to MA!) We have missed him dearly at home, as has the team at the ceh workshop who thrive under his leadership, but are all grateful and inspired by his dedication to do whatever it takes in this wacky shipping/supply period to get our handcrafted ceh beauties and antiques safely to our wonderful and patient clients 🤍🚚💨 damage rate is now below 1% on items Justin takes solo to their destination!

Thank you so much for all of the kind thoughts and warm wishes on my birthday! With each passing year, I take a moment to pause and reflect on the past year and what I want for the coming year because I know that each year is truly a gift! Upon reflecting on last year, I have so much to be thankful for.... a wonderful husband, three precious daughters, a thriving business where I get to do what I really love, wonderful in house team who help us keep our company running at a level of excellence we expect, amazing friends, and the best clients in the industry! I am truly grateful. Looking forward to the future, it is my goal to keep our company thriving and moving in a direction that meets the ever changing needs of our clients and market. We have put the right people in place who have a firm grasp of our company values and vision, and are dedicated to YOU! We are so excited that in the coming year, our CEH team will be helping us run the show more than ever, to help fulfill client orders and create truly beautiful bespoke pieces + offering curated antique selections. While I will still be an integral part of our company (especially in the design/aesthetics and HR - and less so in the business management area which my role had evolved). However - it is my number one goal to focus on our girls at this present time. They are growing up so fast and I don't want to miss a moment. We began our business for, with (literally), and inspired by them. The choice to commit to a healthy balance (with no regrets) with my work “baby” (the ceh) and our three precious girls was not one made quickly, but rather with ample trial and error, lots of prayer, lengthy consideration, and a sprinkle of hesitation (I am the ultimate micromanager/over thinker/people pleaser the team may say 🥰). I am confident that the team “has it”, and I know they will make the company better than ever before with the changes made in the past week. We look forward to delivering the same caliber of unique pieces that you can only source at the CEH. Be sure to check our website and Insta soon for the latest and greatest pieces from the CEH.
