First cutting board is finished! It's always extra fun to make a project when it's made for a friend. Walnut, sapele, and maple make for an excellent trio.

All of my cutting boards come finished with food grade mineral oil and the only upkeep required is occasionally re-oiling the boards when they look dry. Also, these boards are all made from high quality hardwoods so they will last for years.

First cutting board almost finished! It's been a crazy couple of weeks but finally I got some time to get into the shop to finish up these boards. The boards are made of walnut, sapele (African mahogany), and figured maple.

The bigger board has already sold but the second smaller one is available! It will be a charcuterie board with handle once it's finished so if you are interested let me know!

Fun fact: the boards look blotchy because I spray them with water before sanding on the final grit. This essentially "pops" the grain so that when the boards are washed the don't feel fuzzy.

Lastly, big shout out to my amazing wife. She has been so supportive through this entire process and makes sure all the photos and videos I put on IG and FB don't suck.

Shop update! Spending today doing more sanding, sanding, and sanding almost done with first batch of charcuterie boards🙃.

Just put the first cutting board into clamps with this highly figured maple pretty stoked about it.

Also the CNC from came this week and I can't wait to put that beast to use.
....andddddd the shops a disaster, who wants to come over and organize/clean for me? I'll pay you in sawdust 😇
