Custom kitchen cabinets in rift cut white oak.

This NYC kitchen was rather narrow (of course) but needed storage, so these are just the depth of a typical dinner plate.

Recently we finished a home in the Upper East Side, including this brand new kitchen with curved cabinets and counters, and chunky terrazzo.

The Shaker table was made by them, for them, and not for selling outside of the Shaker community. The light above it is an original Scarpa fixture from 1960s Venice.

The blue green stone is emerald quartzite and reminds everyone of the ocean.

Vintage New Yorker covers are on the wall above the breakfast nook.

It’s been a minute!

We have been too busy this summer to autumn period.

Ongoing projects, new projects, travel for work, meetings…

Take for this instance this space we are working on in a certain midtown building of renown.

Rhymes with “Fever Mouse,”

Also been working on a few things in Denver. Take a look at for a peek..!

More when we can..!

Some mid-construction shots from a recent site visit to one of our ongoing residential projects.

Starting to take shape! Walls built and covered, electrical waiting for its fixtures, but of course still lots of little details to work through.

Recently in Chicago for a workshop, we took in Cloud Gate by Anish Kapoor.

2004-2006

As a piece of public art, it must be one of the best examples on how contemporary abstract art can and does engage the population at large.

People look, approach, look again, engage a distorted image, and keep exploring.

What does it mean?

What does that matter?

It’s a dialogue between a person and their own thoughts, prompted by this sculpture.

We love this .... table? stool? sculpture? ... all of the above and more?

Object #168 by Dan John Anderson in cedar. One of a kind, hand made in Joshua Tree, CA.

We are using this in a Los Angeles residence to serve whatever purpose the moment calls for.

Thanks to for sending this our way.

Documents of a lovely morning wandering the flats outside Marfa, Texas.

Sun and dust and birds and lizards and concrete and pure minimalist bliss.

A longtime dream satisfied- to see the works of Donald Judd native in the wild of far west Texas.

These are the photos of the we are allowed to take, outside the buildings that show more work by artists beside Judd, such as Dan Flavin and Robert Irwin.

We’ve always had a thing for terrazzo, so our recent trip to Venice resulted in about one hundred photos of different floors.

Balancing material and geology, craft and tradition, utility, economy, and style, terrazzo is super versatile and always interesting.

Even when the current popular fascination with it fades, it will still be timeless.

Here are some of the more remarkable styles we saw recently. Some are from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, some from the Doges Palace, some from Scarpa works, but most from random spaces about the city.
