Price Breakdown
The Steps We Take:
• All pieces are thoroughly scrubbed and cleaned with TSP.
• Everything is sanded well with 220 grit sandpaper to create a “tooth” for the paint.
• Primmer is almost always used (unless heavy distressing is desired). For example bonding primmer is necessary for pieces made with a laminate.
• Between every coat of primmer and/or paint we sand and clean to ensure
the piece is dust free and smooth.
• Repair of minor cracks and dings is included in our base price, but major repairs are an additional fee. Finishing Steps:
• If desired we will hand polish the painted furniture with a protective coat of paste wax.
• We do not use a clear coat of any kind, for example varnish, because these products will discolor your painted finish. Instead we recommend paste wax.
• Distressing can be done to add an aged patina to your painted piece.
• We can also stain the piece to give it a really weathered look.
• Glaze is another option to create an antique look. This can be done in many different colors. Paint Selection:
We prefer to use Behar paints, but other high quality paints such as Dunn Edwards, Vista Paint and Benjamin Moore are acceptable. We refuse to use low quality paints and will reject your paint selection if it does not meet our quality standards. A quality paint job is dependent on the quality of material used. Pricing:
