Summer change → school supplies!

This past summer, our ladies and Top Teens "got loose" for the National TLOD Literacy Committee's Loose Loot for Literacy Challenge. We decorated jars and filled them with loose coins and dollar bills, and every bit of it is going toward notebooks and K–8 school supplies for students in our community.

Thank you to everyone who emptied their pockets, purses and cup holders for a great cause. There's always a child in need, and together we're helping our students start the school year ready to learn.

Today we celebrate the life of Lady Bonita Colette Johnson, a charter member of the Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. - NewRock Chapter. Her mantra was "Ready to Serve," and she lived it every day. That included outfitting nearly 10,000 girls through Enchanted Closet and her years of service across DeKalb County and beyond. Her homegoing celebration is Saturday, October 3. Please keep her mother, family, and loved ones in your prayers. Rest well, Lady Bonita. May the works you've done speak for you. The Ladies and teens of NewRock Chapter will miss you.
