Quick how to on installing blocking for shower grab bars. This is a really simple concept, but super importan and easy to overlook. Always think ahead and put blocking in walls to mount grab bars to. Anchors in tile are not strong enough. Take care of the old folks!!

One of my old building mentors used to say “if you ain’t makin mistakes you ain’t buildin nothin”. Your gonna make mistakes out there, but when you do just ask, now how can I fix it? Here’s a last minute fix I did this morning before the inspector comes. Think on your feet!!

Made some new plugs the other day. Carved mesquite using dremel. I have made dozens this way through the years, but dream of having a lathe one day 🥰🙏. Mesquite is a hardwood, sends down taproot as far as 50 ft into bedrock, and distributes nutrients to surface. Conventional Farmers call it a menace because it persistently shows up in their overgrazed lands and depleted soils. But mesquite goes where it is needed, to ground in deeply and nourish the land. Wearing this medicine in my ears ;). @ China Springs, Texas

Mushroom lab complete!! 12x6 enclosed cargo trailer converted into sterile mushroom lab with pass through cabinet, clean air input, flow cabinet, incubation cabinets and storage cabinets, easily cleanable bamboo flooring for whole interior, live edge cedar cabinet top, all exposed wood has 3 coats Polly, custom molding trim throughout. Client is making a custom orgone counter top and I will post some more pictures when that’s complete. This was an amazing project, fun, challenging and really tested a range of my skills. Client is elated with the product and my portfolio is happy too ;). What do you think? How bout you ?

Sorry for generator noise! On the home home stretch! Trimming this thing out has been a doozy. Every wall/ceiling intersection is curved, and the floor bellies a bit, haha. Staining and pollying all the trim, flow cabinet and doors. Then to install the fan and custom orgone counter top and this baby is complete!
