MV Woodworking

MV Woodworking MV Woodworking specializes in handmade furniture, and cabinets, original and custom designs.

If you have an idea for a project or piece, I would love to hear about it. MV Woodworking started in 2006 as a couple of side tables made from wine crates in the hallway of my apartment. By 2012, I built wine cellars, custom commercial installations, sold signature furniture to customers from California to New York, and built custom pieces that could be seen in several Starbucks stores and in the

Palmer House in downtown Chicago. In 2012, I started working on larger residential renovation design projects that included kitchen and bathroom design and trim carpentry. I take pride in using tried and true joinery like hand cut dovetails and mortise and tenon joints.

Illinois bar association is holding a contest for your favorite DIY project. I don’t think I’ve ever posted a pic of the kitchen. I did the floor inlay, the walnut cabinet, the trim around the windows, and the ceiling beam.

Months of remote zoom court and remote everything helped me hone my original stand design. This is nothing mind blowing but I use it everyday so I really appreciate it. My improved iPad/phone stand allows you to stand up your device, great for when you’re sitting and doing zoom or watching something, and also let’s you lay it down, perfect for looking at a recipe 18685 times while you’re cooking. No moving parts means it won’t fall over or change positions when you press the screen

Built in shelves are sooo close to being done. The last thing left is building the radiator cover.
