Beautifully made pair of walnut veneer Biedermeier style chairs with dramatic, balloon-shaped pierced splat sculpted with sweeping scrollwork curls. A central stylized point holds a prominent black finial accent at its core.

Filip Marona of Marona Studio specializes in restoring and repairing antiques in the Chicago area and has participated in high-profile juried art and antique shows nationwide for over twenty-five years. His apprenticeship began in 1994 at lle de France Antiques, a company importing and specializing in French furniture, before purchasing the business in 2001 and expanding his services and inventory to include American, Asian, and European furniture. Marona Studio works with private clientele, architects, and interior designers throughout the Northeast and Southeast. In Chicago, he works most frequently in the North Shore area, including Evanston, Wilmette, Kenilworth, Winnetka, Glencoe, Highland Park, Highwood, Lake Forest, and Lake Bluff.
