The first layer of epoxy is poured on these walnut and maple river tables! Excited for how they’ll turn out! A little less excited for the amount of sanding hours coming up 😂

This table is for a benefit auction/bake sale for my uncle, which was last weekend. He has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and hasn't been able to work since last summer. Hearing stories of how the community came together for this has been so amazing.

If you're in the market for a dining table/etc and want to get in on the benefit, 100% of the proceeds (after material/labor costs) will go directly towards the benefit. Just send a message and we can get some plans rolling!

At first, this was supposed to be a quick temporary countertop made out of ripped and glued pine while we picked out and ordered granite. Now we're thinking we might hold off on the granite for a while longer. Really love how well the Waterlox Sealer and Finish (food safe) went on with the first counter top pieces. The 7'x4' island piece and floating shelves are patched and almost ready for stain & finish. Now to see how long it handles the wear and tear of 4 kids 😂

5 months after moving from Iowa to Wisconsin and diving into a kitchen renovation that extended to much more of the house than just the kitchen 😬, the shop is getting set up and ready for some projects! I don't think there is a better project to start with. These 8' walnut slabs are going to be a dining room table for a benefit auction. The lumber and labor to prep/flatten the slabs have all been donated by some amazing people & businesses. A big thank you to Todd Huemann (Huemann well and pump service) and Beneath the Bark, LLC (Brian Stratton) for donating slabs, labor, and equipment to mill and flatten these! More details about the benefit auction and how you can get in on the bidding coming soon!

…I’m going to include the workbench with this if I can’t get it down.

Had a blast making this walnut desk. Finding all the walnut hiding out in the attic was definitely a plus.

It’s always a good day when 70 board ft and 5 cookie slabs of walnut were hiding in a corner of your attic.

Well, here we go! Kicking off the first post on social media! If you already followed this page and have no clue what it is, you’re in luck! First off, my name is Brennon and I officially started Dutch Lumber Co in January. My interest in woodworking really got started when I was a kid by “helping” my grandpa work on some amazing projects in his workshop. Just shy of 90, he’s still a phenomenal woodworker and usually my go-to for advice. I’m really grateful to share that passion with him. In the past 5 years I really started dabbling more in the craft and finally made the jump to make a business out of one of my favorite passions. So, there’s just a little snippet of what Dutch Lumber Company is. Thanks for following along!
