Downtown is home to a wide array of unique specialty retail including boutiques, vintage finds, sports equipment and accessories, spirits, furniture, art and home décor. There’s a family owned grocery, along with event centers, numerous eateries and American Legion Post 57. It also has a variety of service providers in the categories of auto, financial, insurance, legal, health and wellness, real

estate, photography, printing, pet care, music, personal care and more. In general, these are small businesses locally or regionally owned or operated. In downtown Chaska you’ll also find many churches, schools and government services. Chaska is the seat of Carver County and downtown is the site of its government center on East Fourth Street. The post office, state license bureau, library, city hall and police department are located downtown. Downtown Chaska is the location of numerous popular events year round, from January’s ice fishing contest to December’s Hometown Holiday. In between you’ll find the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Taste of Chaska, Memorial Day Parade, two farmers markets all season long, SayHey5K, River City Days, and Homecoming Parade.

Chaska Rocks is back! This annual music fest and fundraiser brings our community and visitors together to have some fun AND to generate funds that support projects in Chaska.

The event is FREE to attend, however, proceeds from beverage sales, raffle tickets, donations, and sponsorships will go towards the Miracle League Field and Universal Playground in Chaska.

So, bring your friends and neighbors out for a night of fun and help us build community together because the next day you will wake up and think, “You know, Chaska really does Rock!”

We’re getting the summer weather now, so that means the Chaska Farmers' Market is almost here! Opening night is Thursday, June 11 from 4-7pm at our new location - the parking lot by Meadow Spring Church (511 Walnut Street). We’ll have vendors selling things like homemade bread, cookies, flowers, home goods and so much more! Plus, we’ll have food trucks and our summer concert series in City Square, which starts at 6pm.

A new treasure-filled shop is opening its doors this week, and vintage lovers—you’ll want to stop by. Rust & Luster is bringing a curated collection of antique, vintage, rustic, and one-of-a-kind finds to downtown. Think timeless décor, unique pieces, and treasures with stories to tell.

To celebrate their Grand Opening (May 14–17), the first 20 customers will receive a FREE succulent planted in a vintage container.
