Bill owned Shaver Woodworks in Tro
utman, NC and produced some of the best ladder-back chairs in the country! I helped Bill get started with his 1st website when he was 84 years old, to help sell his chairs and stools. He was amazed when he got his first online order not long after and though he didn't quite understand it, he liked it. Unfortunately, about 1 month after that, Bill passed away. His family continued his business for about 6 months and then decided to close the doors. Bill was a great business man and mentor to me and I appreciate all he did to help me. When his family took over the business, they decided that they no longer wanted to do the online part of the furniture business. This is when we took over the website we had created for Bill and it became FlatTopWoodWorks.com. We immediately began starting new relationships with local manufacturers of wooden furniture like Troutman Chair Co. & Dixie Seating. Troutman Chair Co has been making rockers, stools, chairs, and other wooden furniture since 1924. We have been working with Troutman Chair since 1999. Uwharrie Chair has been making solid pine outdoor furniture in High Point, NC for many years. They offer a lifetime warranty on their product which is second to none. We have been working with Uwharrie chair since 2001. Today we operate from Mocksville, NC, which is just 30 minutes from any of our 3 main factories.
