I started this project yesterday; today, I just stopped by to add a few finishing touches. I have known this client of mine for over ten years. She—my dear Kelly—and her husband, Gabriel, were among my very first clients when I started working independently. I am so grateful for their support and for all the referrals; thanks to them, I have secured many jobs and gained many new clients.

This client contacted me to get a quote for this door. I provided my price, but then she said, "I'm sorry—please forgive me—my painter, whom I've worked with for 20 years, finally texted me back, and he can do the door." I replied, "That's fine; don't worry about it. We're here at your service." A few days passed, and she contacted me again to let me know that the work had been done poorly—that the door looked like it had been painted rather than stained. So, we had to fix it, and this is how it turned out.
