Tru by Hilton Cleveland Midtown
Cleveland, Ohio — home to many sports traditions. This reviewer is here for the “Love of the Game” — baseball. Home of the Guardians, though longtime fans still remember them as the Cleveland Indians. The name change remains a point of division and conversation among fans — one that probably deserves its own post.
Located on Euclid Ave, this hotel is quite remarkable. A bit higher in price, but in my opinion, its 4.0-star rating is well deserved — though I’d personally rate it even higher.
The large parking area sits behind decorative gates and is surrounded by beautifully maintained landscaping. Off to the right side of the hotel is an outdoor fire pit accompanied by an L-shaped seating area draped with lights and greenery, creating a welcoming place to unwind.
Walking inside, you’re greeted by a circular front desk in the center of the building and welcomed by friendly staff. Toward the back and right are additional seating areas, along with little built-in wall nooks that feel perfect for private reading, catching up on work, or taking a business call.
Though the room itself wasn’t heavily divided, it gave off an artistic and modern vibe. The blackout curtains definitely delivered for late risers — at 9 AM it still felt like nighttime. Another appreciated touch: checkout isn’t until 12 PM, giving guests a little extra time to relax.
I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for this hotel chain during future travels and hope other locations offer the same level of comfort, atmosphere, and courtesy.
