We were contacted by a client who saw our smaller planter boxes and asked if we could build her a bigger one. And by bigger, she meant 6 foot by 3 foot, with a box that was 20 inches deep. This thing was a beast when we were finished! She also asked for a 4 foot by 2 foot planter as well. Both are made with solid cedar wood.

My wife has been asking for some planter boxes for her herb garden for a while. So, even though it's still too early for planting, I decided to knock these out. Both are made of cedar and are four feet long and 16 inches wide and tall. This proved to be a fun quick project. I might have to make a few more as spring gets closer.

A couple of weeks ago, we had a friend reach out and ask for some help. They had received a family heirloom bed frame made of solid cherry. However, it was too large to fit up their staircase. So they cut off some of the bed posts and asked us to help give it a more "finished" look. We loaded up some tools and headed over and set up shop in their front yard, and went to work. We ended up taking some more off of the posts, used a chamfer router bit for the edges, and then some sanding. The cut-offs were taken to a local paint store to match the stain. They couldn't be happier with the end result.
