Hi Everyone!
After 20 years as working as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic/Pneudralics Mechanic at Letterkenny Army Depot and 23 years as a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery I have decided to add to the chaos of my Nursing Life and start a Food Trailer/Truck offering good ole comfort food. “NANNY’S KITCHEN”
I became interested in the idea of a food trailer last year after attending an event with lots of children. There was plenty of delicious food but not much being offered for children. Why not have something focused on children? After tossing many ideas around I decided to offer children focused food suitable for children of all ages… (there is a little bit of a child in all of us). So “COMFORT FOOD” it is!!! I will be offering different menu choices depending on the event and season. Follow me at [email protected] for location and menu.

My parents, who passed away almost 2 years ago, meant the world to me. They loved cooking delicious food for me and my brothers. Mom was the cook and dad was the butcher. They took pride in the quality of their cooking and butchering and instilled that pride in me and my brothers. My family and I will continue their legacy into the future.

My logo was designed and drawn by my 11 year old granddaughter, “Cydni”. My grandchildren and many other children I have welcomed into the world call me “Nanny”. The logo shows me and Cydni in my kitchen as I teach her the skills I learned as a child from my mother. I carried on this tradition with my daughter Kele, and my grandchildren, Cydni, her brother Cree and Zae.

The hands represent a story from when my oldest grandson, Zae, at the time he was 5 years old. One night as I hugged him goodnight and squeezed him tight, I asked him if he could tell how much I loved him when I hugged him. He answered, “Yeah, but I really feel your heart thru your hands”. I will never forget that moment. My Zae felt love thru “Nanny’s Hands”.

The heart and cross signifies my love of God, my Lord Jesus, my family and all God’s people. I hope and pray that those I have met, those I will meet and serve will feel and see God’s love thru me.
