Porch Transformation.

Our most recent project in Leander is complete. 40 ft x 30 ft shop with 16 ft exterior walls. We installed drop trusses to lower the inside ceiling height while keeping the outside high.

We installed standing seam metal on the lower roofs and asphalt shingles on the main roof. Cedar 2x10 trim around the door bays. Cedar 1x6 tongue and groove on the porch ceiling. All Andersen windows.

All the work you see except the concrete and iron door was done by O’Meara Custom Builders.

Timber Frame Pavilion.

We just finished the first phase of this build, we will be back after the floor is tiled to install screen framing and cedar siding. This is on the same property we built the bridge on back in March.

Lots of heavy timber in this, the building itself is 25 ft x 50 ft. 10x12 beams, 10x10 posts and rafter beams, 3x10 rafters, all in high grade Douglas Fir.

When finished it will have an outdoor kitchen, barbecues and smokers, and a lounge area for the pickleball court.

The Bridge.

We built this back in February and March. It’s a 60 ft long Douglas Fir timber framed bridge. It’s definitely one of the more challenging projects we’ve took on, everything from the giant hill we had to bring everything down, the terrain we had to set up on, the complex design of the bridge, the expensive material we couldn’t cut wrong, the important structural details, the endless amount of lap joints, the list goes on.

All the timber is Douglas Fir, the siding is vertical grain cedar, and the decking is IPE Brazilian hardwood.

We’ll be returning to this residence to build a timber framed pavilion in August, so plenty more challenges to come.

The garage we’ve been working on in Liberty Hill is completed. The homeowner is going to finish it out on the inside, so our work is done.

It’s a 20’ x 38’ with 9’-6” ceilings and an 8’ x 18’ front garage door with a 6’ x 7’ rear roll up door. Plenty of room to fit 2 lifted trucks, if needed.
