Memorial Day weekend, my family and I went to a movie and then stopped for dinner.
Our server looked familiar, but I couldn’t quite place where I knew her from.
After bringing our waters, she smiled and said,
“Hey… you’re the candle lady.”
I laughed and said, “Yes! I thought you looked familiar!”
She told me she had attended one of our candle experiences and loved it. Then she added,
“I tell all my friends to make sure they trim their wicks.”
We both laughed.
It was such a small exchange, but it stayed with me.
When you own a business, it’s easy to focus on numbers, bookings, and everything still left to do. Sometimes you forget that the experiences you’re creating actually stay with people.
That moment reminded me that we’re building more than fragrance products.
We’re building memories, connections, and community.
And for that, I’m incredibly grateful.
