Drywood termites are species of termites that infest and feed on dry, seasoned wood without the need for contact with soil. They are found in warmer climates and are commonly found in wooden structures, furniture, and decorative wooden items. Drywood termites form small, distinct colonies and can cause significant damage to wooden structures over time if left untreated. They are usually detected by the presence of frass (sawdust-like excrement) or the emergence of winged reproductive termites (swarmers) from infested wood.
