The Chair That Keeps On Giving...the story behind "The Chair"...............
Carpentry Students from the Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School made an Adirondack chair and donated it to the Homeless For The Holidays to be auctioned off to benefit the cause on December 10, 2016.. Two bidders went toe to toe each hoping to snag this beautifully crafted chair. One of which was Fred Carbone owner of the Bay Motor Inn. After a pretty lengthy bidding war between the two men, the highest bid reached $250. The two called a truce and split the bidding bill, a donation of $125 each. Now, the decision of who was going to take it home was an easy one for Fred Carbone. He donated "The Chair" to the WOMEN WHO ROCK CAPE COD Music Festival Fundraiser Event to be auctioned off to benefit the Cape Cod Shelter & Domestic Violence Services. It was right then and there that the true purpose of "The Chair" was clear. It was meant to live on and help others to raise money for their cause.
THAT'S RIGHT!! If you have a fundraiser event coming up, you can keep "The Chair" alive and raise money for your benefit.
This is how it works:
"The Chair" can make an appearance at your benefit for auction with the understanding that the winning bid amount goes to the cause and "The Chair" moves on to it's next destination. It's journey will be tracked and shared. Message if you'd like to book "The Chair" for your special event. And yes, "The Chair" does have a foster home LoL!!
