It is with bittersweet but grateful hearts that we announce Shepherd’s Coffee will not be renewing our lease at Sprankle’s Market in Saxonburg.
This decision in no way reflects our experience with Doug or the Sprankle’s team—our time working with them has been nothing but positive, and we are truly thankful.
Our owner, Jessica, and her husband Dan recently welcomed another baby, sweet David. In addition, Jessica homeschools their three older daughters. While this season has been an incredible blessing, it has also required more of their time and energy, leaving less to invest in growing Shepherd’s Coffee.
We have loved this business deeply—the customers (many of whom have become dear friends) and our staff, who feel like family. Because of that, we believe it deserves more than our leftover energy. Right now, we feel called to prioritize our children and family.
That said, we don’t see this as the end of Shepherd’s Coffee Co., but rather a shift in priorities and an openness to future possibilities when our children are older.
We are also excited to share that we are passing the cup to Megan and her team from .
We are confident she will continue serving great coffee to the community with the same care and passion we’ve always strived for.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for supporting our family and our team’s families over the past several years. Your encouragement has meant more than we can express.
To our incredible team—thank you for faithfully serving on the front lines while we worked behind the scenes. We have been so blessed by each of you.
And finally, thank you to Doug & Lindsay Sprankle and the entire Sprankle’s team for your support and for making this such a positive experience. We are truly grateful.
The shops last day operating as Shepherd’s Coffee will be May 31, 2026.
We look forward to continuing to serve you with our best until then!
