I’ll be at Mt Airy fiddlers convention this weekend. I’m not set up as a vendor, but I will have banjos if anyone wants to take one for a test drive.

I’m turning five banjo pots and a resonator. This one is maple with a rosewood section under the silver bell tonering.

Since relocating to NC, I have been working on creating a new workshop. It is my workspace for all the banjo building and lutherie work I do, so it is very important to me.

I took an existing space and totally had to rework it from the concrete floor to the ceiling. Loads of work, but it was all worth it! I have given myself a big upgrade. There is more that will be done, but for now, it is a functional shop and I am building banjos again!

It has been a while since I’ve posted anything here... we have been very busy! We are in the process of moving to Bryson City, NC. I am already living here, and Judy will follow shortly, I hope!

I’ve been working on the new shop, and it will be a nice one! Not finished by any means, but functional. I texted Judy a picture and she said it was a bit cavelike... maybe it will inspire a blind cricket banjo...
