Is throwback Thursday still a thing? Cause I love this waterfall oak bench from last year and it just so happens to be a Thursday. Who knows.. I’m not as up with the trends anymore. 😂

At the risk of being repetitive, I just love this photo of the rocker on our front porch. I sit out here every morning and enjoy the sunrise with some yerba mate, prayer and scripture. It’s been a very peaceful and fruitful way to start the day lately.

My wife can’t stand the current porch light we have, but I don’t mind it. 😂 It’s very low on the totem pole, but it will probably get replaced one day as it works its way up the honey do’s. What do yall think? I think it adds that classic Texas charm. Haha.

Some closeups of the custom canary wood bench I recently completed. (Currently for sale! If you’re interested send me a message!) I built this one as I went without any initial plans, just fitting the form to the slab, and I love how it came out! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to shape the tapered legs with a drawknife and smoothing plane. Canary wood slab, red oak legs and short stretchers, with ash for the long center stretcher. All natural Tung Oil finish.

I love all every angle of this Democratic Rocker. I built this one for my lovely wife 30th birthday this year, but I may have to build another cause I keep stealing it in the mornings. 😅 Pine seat, ash rocker blades, and red oak everywhere else. Finally got around to getting some photos of the Democratic Rocker and the little live edge canary wood bench I recently built. Excited to share some more photos of each soon, but here’s a teaser for now. Im absolutely loving using more hand tools, green wood, and all the fun that comes with crafting seating. I’m hoping there will be plenty more of this in the future.

Massive white oak coffee table I recently completed for

Always love the look of the waterfall edges on these. This thing was 50” deep to allow stools for the kiddos to nest underneath and use it as a workstation when needed.
